Career

1976

Born in Hitachi, Ibaraki Prefecture. After graduating from a local national university, studied music theory at a music college and trained under Muneki Takada.

1999

Entered the music industry through part-time work on FM radio programs, beginning a career in radio production.

2003

Began working as production director for J-WAVE's "RADIO SAKAMOTO," starting a long collaborative relationship with Ryuichi Sakamoto. Has produced programs featuring Junji Kawata, Daito Manabe, Non, Masafumi Goto, Shu Yamaguchi, Neru Nagahama, Kenji Kohashi, Masashi Nishida, and others. Following the hiatus of Sakamoto's program, began drone-based video production.

2015

Emerged as a video creator. Received high praise from Kazutoshi Sakurai of Mr.Children for "MIFA Football Park." Served as cinematographer for Katsuhiko Hibino's work at the Water and Land Art Festival 2015.

2016

Produced international commercial for "TSUMIKI" designed by architect Kengo Kuma.
